    1934. USA. Directed by Louis Gasnier. Music by Carlos Gardel. Screenplay by Alfredo Le Pera. With Gardel, Mona Maris, Vincente Padula, Anita Campillo. Gardel, around whom the genre of tango vocal movies was created, made four Spanish-language musicals in Astoria for Paramount. In this film, he overcomes obstacles to open a tango palace in Manhattan. In Spanish; English subtitles. 83 min.
