Rear Window
1954. USA. Directed by Alfred Hitchcock. With James Stewart. An injured photographer, convalescing in his alley-facing apartment, spies on his neighbors. The image of Stewart holding his super-telephonto-lens camera to his face is not unlike Dalí's 1957 painting Rhapsodie Moderne (Les Sept Arts), which depicts a male figure with the legs of a human, the body of a camera, and a Cyclops-like eye for a head. 112 min.
