Celebrated director Raoul Peck delivers a powerful recounting of the life and struggles of the visionary African leader Patrice Lumumba. The first post-colonial prime minister of the Congo, Lumumba's efforts to create a united Africa made him the enemy of many in Europe and the United States. Their political machinations would ultimately seal his fate—as well as that of a truly free Africa. In French, Lingala; English subtitles. 115 min.
