Asian action superstar Maggie Cheung plays Maggie Cheung, and New Wave actor Jean-Pierre Leaud plays a New Wave director in this razor-sharp satire. Assayas employs a cool directorial hand as he explodes romantic notions of filmmaking and celebrity, creating a hilarious portrait of escalating cinematic chaos.
