    1953. USA. Written and directed by Ray Ashley, Morris Engel, Ruth Orkin. With Richie Andrusco. Little Fugitive is a timeless story about the struggle between two brothers—twelve-year-old Lennie and the pesky, younger Joey. When Lennie and his pals cook up a plot to ditch Joey, the harmless prank spooks the boy and he goes on the lam. Hiding out at Coney Island, Joey observes humanity on a hot summer's day. The film received an Academy Award nomination and the Silver Lion at the Venice Film Festival. Preserved by The Museum of Modern Art with funding provided by The Film Foundation/Hollywood Foreign Press Association, The National Endowment for the Arts, and Celeste Bartos Film Preservation Funds. 75 min.
