  • My Hustler

    1965. USA. Directed by Andy Warhol, Chuck Wein. With Paul America, Ed Hood, Joseph Campbell, Genevieve Charbon. This early Warhol narrative film describes a day at the beach. A hustler is brought to Fire Island, and several men and women muse over him and vie for his attention. There is plenty of catty dialogue, a few long takes, and limited camera movement; the film appears artless at first, but ultimately proves canny, casual, and affecting. 67 min.
