    2002. Canada. Written and directed by Alanis Obomsawin. In the summer of 2000, federal fishery officers appeared to wage war on the Micmac fishermen of Esgenoopetitj, or "Burnt Church," New Brunswick. Almost twenty years after shooting Incident at Restigouche, Obomsawin takes another look at the plight of the Micmac people—and explores why the Canadian government would attack citizens for exercising rights that were legally theirs. 97 min.
