2007. USA. Directed by Jeff Sumerel. Theodore Gottlieb, who became known as Brother Theodore for his outrageous comic/outsider performances, achieved cult status first in Los Angeles in the 1940s and later with the Beat Generation in New York City in the late 1950s. His one-man off-Broadway show influenced artists such as Woody Allen and Eric Bogosian. 70 min. World premiere. Discussion with Sumerel, Dick Cavett, Tom Schiller, Eric Bogosian, Lorca Morello, and other Brother Theodore devotees.
