    2003. Belgium/France. Directed by Nicholas Klotz. Screenplay by Klotz, Elisabeth Perceval. With Noëlla Mossaba, Adama Doumbia. This sobering and heartrending depiction of asylum-seekers in France is based on three years of meticulous research. The film centers on one Congolese woman who manages, against formidable odds, to reunite with her husband, only to be forced to live in the most squalid conditions, completely isolated and terrified into silence. In French, English; English subtitles. 160 min.
