    1939. USA. Directed by William Wyler. Screenplay by Ben Hecht, Charles MacArthur, based on the novel by Emily Brontë. With Merle Oberon, Laurence Olivier, David Niven. The last formal screenplay collaboration between Hecht and MacArthur is this adaptation of Brontë's tale of untamed and unrequited love on the Yorkshire moors. 102 min.
