    2003. USA. Written and directed by Sofia Coppola. With Scarlett Johansson, Bill Murray. Amidst the highly artificial environments of ultra-chic hotel rooms, neon-lit strip clubs, and a claustrophobia-inducing karaoke bar in Tokyo, Charlotte and Bob seek basic human connection while her marriage and his self-respect crumble. Coppola deftly constructs a hard-edged and hyper-synthetic impression of Tokyo. 102 min.
