  • O Mimi San

1914. USA. Directed by Reginald Barker. With Tsuru Aoki, Mildred Harris. In Hayakawa's first film, he plays a Japanese emperor's son who is torn between two women—played by Aoki (who was soon to be Mrs. Hayakawa) and Harris (who was soon to be Mrs. Charles Chaplin). Silent. Approx. 25 min.

  • The Wrath of the Gods

1914. USA. Directed by Reginald Barker. With Tsuru Aoki, Frank Borzage. Replete with spectacular special effects and an interracial romance between Aoki and Borzage (who would later become a major Hollywood director), this appears to be Hayakawa's earliest surviving feature. Silent. Approx. 45 min.
