  • Steamboat Willie

1928. USA. Directed by Ub Iwerks. Produced by Walt Disney. With Mickey and Minnie Mouse. The rodent pair's devastating debut. 8 min.

  • Steamboat Bill, Jr.

1928. USA. Directed by Charles F. Reisner. With Buster Keaton, Ernest Torrence, Marion Byron. Keaton's last fully independent production, and the beginning of the end of his reign as one of the two greatest silent comedians, is in keeping with his recurrent theme of contending with a hostile universe. The climactic cyclone sequence is so breathtakingly spectacular that one almost forgets to laugh. Silent. 69 min.
