In Carthage during the second Punic War, the Roman Fulvio Axilla and his faithful servant Maciste rescue the child Cabiria as she is about to be sacrificed to the god Moloch. World cinema's first great historical epic, restored to its original length and vibrant colors. English intertitles. Restored by the Museo Nazionale del Cinema, Turin, with the collaboration of MoMA. Silent, with organ accompaniment by Ben Model. Approx. 180 min.
