    1953. Roberto Rossellini. creenplay by Rossellini, Vitaliano Brancati. With Ingrid Bergman, George Sanders. An estranged married couple returns to Naples to close their home, and a miracle, of sorts, occurs. “It is a very bitter film basically. The couple take refuge in each other in the same way as people cover themselves when they’re seen naked, grabbing a towel, drawing closer to the person with them…” (Rossellini). 75 min.
