  • Derek

2008. Great Britain. Directed by Isaac Julien. Derek, a tribute to the late artist, filmmaker, and activist Derek Jarman, narrated by his long-time collaborator Tilda Swinton, is rich with footage spanning Jarman’s life, interspersed with a 1991 interview with Colin McCabe. Jarman’s luminary spirit is viscerally present, as is the tenderness of those looking back on his life. 78 min.
