  • Enough Said

2013. USA. Directed by Nicole Holofcener. Eva (Julia Louis-Dreyfus), a massage therapist, meets poet Marianne at a party, and the two become fast friends. Eva’s life and home are a joyous mess, and she admires the controlled Zen-like atmosphere of Marianne’s house. Yet Marianne’s life is anything but pastoral and bucolic; she is consumed by hatred for her ex-husband Albert (James Gandolfini). Through a series of romantic comedy criss-cross meetings, Eva unknowingly winds up dating Albert, who is really a teddy bear, not the horror described by the bitter Marianne. Enough Said is a rare adult romantic comedy, in which the characters are exhausted from their day-to-day lives but still have enough energy to realize that being in love is always a good thing.
