  • Taken by Storm: The Art of Storm Thorgerson and Hipgnosis

2012. The eccentric ego behind many of rock music’s most iconic album covers—including works by Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Genesis, and Muse—is revealed in Bogawa’s wildly entertaining film. Storm Thorgerson, who died in April 2013, reflects on his remarkable career with the design firm Hipgnosis and as a stand-alone artist, his school days with Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters, the inspirations brought about by college experimentation, and the clash of egos that ended his closest partnership. Major personalities from the world of rock lend their voices in praise of this master of surrealist album artwork. 95 min.
