1934. Austria/Hungary. Directed by Henry Koster (Hermann Kosterlitz). Produced by Joe Pasternak. With Franciska Gaal, Felix Bressart, Hans Jaray. This musical comedy was typical of the light entertainment Koster provided in both Europe and America—to which he immigrated in 1936. Pasternak accompanied him, and they remained a team for many years. Pasternak also helped salvage the career of Marlene Dietrich with films like Destry Rides Again and Seven Sinners (which will be shown later in this series). Print courtesy of Film Archiv Austria. In German; English subtitles. 85 min.
