Pastoral: Hide and Seek
1974. Japan. Written and directed by Shuji Terayama. With Kantaro Suga, Hiroyuki Takano, Yoshio Harada. A virtuoso in a great many artistic disciplines, counterculture icon Terayama drew upon his poetry collection, also titled Pastoral, for this clever and humorous exploration of memory and memoir.
