Days of Heaven
1978. USA. Written and directed by Terrence Malick. With Richard Gere, Linda Manz. Bill and Abby are lovers who pretend to be brother and sister to the outside world. Along with Bill’s younger sister Linda (the film’s narrator), they head toward the Texas panhandle to look for farm work. When a wealthy, lonely farmer falls in love with Abby, Bill encourages the marriage so that he will one day benefit from the union. 93 min.
