2011. Directed by Marie de Brugerolle. Photography by Ollie Bell, Sandrine Lancien, Naotaka Hiro, Damien Froidevaux, and David Jungman. Sound by Bruno Auzet. Edited by Anne Lacour. Sound mixing by Denis Lefdup. With artists John Baldessari, Larry Bell, Richard Jackson, Morgan Fisher, Paul Mc Carthy, Robert Wilhite, Christophe Bourseiller, Violeta Sanchez, and Gus Foster. Who's That Guy? Tell Me More about Guy de Cointet is a portrait of Guy de Cointet, the French-born artist based in California who created text and sculptural works, often combining them as props and stage sets in theatrical performance pieces. The film is composed of interviews and documents compiled over a 10-year period by art critic Marie de Brugerolle. Artists including John Baldessari, Christophe Bourseiller, Larry Bell, and Paul McCarthy talk about de Cointet and unreleased documents that provide insight into the singularity of his work.

In conjunction with Guy de Cointet's Five Sisters (1982/2011) as part of the Words in the World series, MoMA will host a screening of Who's That Guy?, followed by a conversation with director Marie de Brugerolle; Tim Griffin, director and chief curator at The Kitchen; Connie Butler, Chief Curator, Department of Drawings, MoMA; and Adva Zakai and Veridiniana Zurita, two actors performing in Five Sisters at MoMA. Moderated by Sabine Breitwieser, Chief Curator, Media and Performance Art Department.
