  • The Little Fugitive

1953. USA. Written and directed by Ray Ashley, Morris Engel, Ruth Orkin. With Richie Andrusco. Preserved by The Museum of Modern Art with funding provided by The Film Foundation/Hollywood Foreign Press Association, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the Celeste Bartos Film Preservation Fund. A truly seminal film that gave birth to New American Cinema and, according to Francois Truffaut, the French New Wave. A young boy believes he has killed his brother, and running far, but not too far, away, he becomes the little fugitive. 80 min.
