1985. USA. Directed by Les Blank. Cuban-American artist Francisco Aguabella is a master of Afro-Cuban and Latin percussion. Born in Matanzas, Cuba, he studied Yoruba-derived bata drums and rumba form along with contemporary rhythms. His storied career dates back to the 1950s, and he has recorded with musicians as diverse as Frank Sinatra and the jazz-fusion group Weather Report. 35 min.
