The Living Room of the Nation
2009. Finland. Directed by Jukka Kärkkäinen. This poetic and eccentric portrait shows ordinary Finnish people in different phases of their lives dealing with both everyday and life-changing situations. The entire film is shot inside six different living rooms with a stationary camera. “The film is a small-scale manifestation of Finnishness,” says Erkko Lytennyn, filmmaker and recent DocPoint Director. In Finnish; English subtitles. 75 min.
