    1942. USA. Directed by Leo Hurwitz, Paul Strand. Cinematography by Strand. Music by Marc Blitzstein. Narrated by Paul Robeson. Out of sync with the efforts to unify the country after Pearl Harbor, this radical depiction of American fascism was mostly suppressed for decades. Seen now, it is a classic in a tradition of social documentaries running from Joris Ivens to Michael Moore. 88 min.
