    1941. USA. Directed by John Ford. Screenplay by Philip Dunne, based on the novel by Richard Llewellyn. With Walter Pidgeon, Maureen O’Hara, Donald Crisp, Roddy McDowall, Sara Allgood, Anna Lee, Barry Fitzgerald. Ford’s Oscar-winning and deeply moving portrait of a Welsh mining family has many autobiographical elements and is probably the director's best non-Western. 118 min.
