In the 1930s, a destructive ecological phenomenon consisting of unprecedented dust storms whipped across regions of the United States, eroding significant segments of already over-farmed soil. Agriculture and livestock interests were ruined, prompting President Franklin Roosevelt to create the Soil Conservation Service to assist in the renewal of the wrecked landscape. 129 min.
