  • The Times of Harvey Milk

    1984. USA. Directed by Robert Epstein. Narration written by Judith Coburn, Carter Wilson. Narrated by Harvey Fierstein. The result of years of development and collaboration, Epstein’s pivotal documentary portrait of both a man and a moment created ripples that are still expanding today. The progress represented by Harvey Milk—the first openly gay man to hold public office in California—also engendered the fear that led to his murder. This film shows how Milk’s work at the local level created a legacy of global significance. 90 min.
