The Wonderful Lies of Nina Petrovna
1929. Germany. Directed by Hanns Schwarz. Screenplay by Hans Székely. With Brigitte Helm, Franz Lederer, Warwick Ward, Lya Jan. Their happiness is short-lived, but the visual pleasures of Schwarz’s film are rich indeed. Courtesy of Murnau Foundation. Silent. Approx. 115 min.
