    1931. Germany. Directed by Erik Charell. Screenplay by Norbert Falk, Robert Liebmann. With Lilian Harvey, Willy Fritsch, Otto Wallburg, Conrad Veidt. Who would have thought a musical about the Congress of Vienna (1814–15), in which European ambassadors redrew the map of the continent, could be so diverting? Yet so it is—charming and filled with a spectacular sense of grace. Courtesy of Murnau Foundation. In German; English subtitles. 92 min.
