  • White Ecstasy

1931. Germany. Written and directed by Arnold Fanck. With Leni Riefenstahl, Hannes Schneider, Rudi Matt, Guzzi Lantschner, Walter Riml. This rare example of Riefenstahl as a comedienne is just as interesting for Fanck’s athletic direction of champion skiers. Courtesy of Bundesarchiv-Filmarchiv, Berlin. Due to unforeseen circumstances, the subtitles for this print may not line up precisely with the film's dialogue. In German; English subtitles. 90 min.
