1932. Germany. Directed by Victor Janson. Screenplay by Billy (as “Billie”) Wilder, Max Kolpé. Music by Paul Abraham. With Marta Eggerth, Hermann Thimig, Fritz Kampers, Margarete Schlegel. A musical about Anni, a ticket taker working the day shift in a Berlin subway (the station, Wallenstein-Platz, existed only in the studio) and Hans, a pilot who works nights. Digital restoration.
