With Ralph Richardson, Raymond Massey, Edward Chapman, Margaretta Scott, Cedric Hardwicke. A science fiction film well ahead of its time, conjured from Wells’s imagination but spectacularly realized on the screen by the genius of designer-turned-director Menzies. 92 min.
