This exhibition features proposals from the five finalists of the MoMA/P.S.1 Young Architects Program. Now in its seventh year, the program calls on architects to create an installation in P.S.1's courtyard that will serve as the setting for the 2006 summer Warm Up series. The designers present engaging architectural solutions that modulate sun, shade, and water in this outdoor space. This year's finalists included OBRA Architects (New York), Contemporary Architecture Practice (New York), Gnuform (Los Angeles), Howeler + Yoon (Boston), and Kivi Sotamaa (Columbus, Ohio).
Organized by Tina diCarlo, Assistant Curator, and Peter Christensen, Curatorial Assistant, Department of Architecture and Design.
The 2006 Young Architects Program is made possible by Rockrose Development Corp.
