PopRally July PicksEvent: PopRally Presents Decoding Alibis, an Interactive Event Exploring Alibis: Sigmar Polke 1963–2010
Exhibition: Christopher Williams: The Production Line of Happiness
MoMA PS1: James Lee Byars: 1/2 an Autobiography
PopRally and Vik Muniz invite you to attend a very special closing party for the exhibition Artist's Choice: Vik Muniz, Rebus.
Vik Muniz (Brazilian, b. 1961) is the ninth artist to participate in Artist's Choice, a series of exhibitions in which an artist serves as curator, selecting works from MoMA's vast collection to create an exhibition. For this exhibition, Muniz has chosen a rebus—a combination of unrelated visual and linguistic elements to create a larger deductive meaning—as the organizing principle of his presentation.
In a similar vein, PopRally has invited Muniz to curate an evening of music with renowned DJ Beverly Bond. Specialty Brazilian cocktails will be provided.
Cocktails for this event provided by Sagatiba.
PopRally is made possible with generous support from Jerry I. Speyer and Katherine G. Farley.
In conjunction with the exhibition Artist's Choice: Vik Muniz, Rebus
Tickets ($10 in advance, $12 at the door) are available online and at the MoMA information desks. Please note that ticket sales are limited.
