Gallery talk: Edgardo Antonio Vigo: The Unmaker of Objects
Thursday, June 26, 2014, 2:00 p.m.
The Lewis B. and Dorothy Cullman Education and Research Building, Mezzanine
This gallery session considers ideas of participation in the work of Argentine artist Edgardo Antonio Vigo from the 1960s through the 1980s, with emphasis on themes addressed in MoMA Studio: Breathe with Me. The session explores Vigo's interest in unconventional objects and publications, his impossible-to-categorize "things," and his unorthodox focus on participatory art.
In conjunction with the exhibitions The Unmaker of Objects: Edgardo Antonio Vigo's Marginal Media and MoMA Studio: Breathe with Me
