In ancient Greece, the agora was an outdoor place of assembly where students gathered to learn from philosophers who posed moral, social, cultural, and political questions. MoMA’s agora will explore our conceptions of—and the relationships between—art, the public, and public space. This series takes the form of informal discussions that depart from open-ended questions relating to visitors’ museum experience.
Topic: What makes an object an artwork?
In case of rain, this program will be held in the Bauhaus Staircase on the second floor.
