PopRally is a series of events at MoMA and MoMA PS1 that serve as a gateway for young and diverse audiences to engage with the Museum. Led by a cross-departmental committee of Museum staff, PopRally produces dynamic programs including artist collaborations, performances, film screenings, and digital content that encourage new and experimental ways of engaging with modern and contemporary art.
p>PopRally and the German artists Gert and Uwe Tobias invite you to a private celebration and viewing of their new exhibition Projects 86: Gert & Uwe Tobias. Join us for an evening of drinks and a live performance by post-folk band Lewis & Clarke in the Museum's Café 2. Twin brothers and artistic collaborators Gert and Uwe Tobias (German, b. Romania, 1973) have drawn on such diverse sources as popular culture, traditional Eastern European folk art, and movements like Constructivism to create a body of work that is both playful and haunting. Guests are also invited to a private viewing of the newly installed Contemporary Galleries. German-inspired drinks will be served and all will receive a gift specially created for the night by the Tobias brothers.
