The International Council of The Museum of Modern Art Exhibition Gallery, sixth floor
"Visual description" is a technique used to explore artworks with visitors who have low or no vision. In this session we invite you too to experience works this way as well. Close your eyes or turn away from the work as an educator describes the work. Then, share your own visual description and see how our words relate to images.
In conjunction with the exhibition Claes Oldenburg: The Street and The Store
Claes Oldenburg: Mouse Museum/Ray Gun Wing
Gallery Sessions, impromptu interactions facilitated by Museum educators that explore the creative process, art history, and the experience of art, take place daily in select galleries. Groups meet in the galleries noted on the schedule. Gallery Sessions are free with Museum admission. No registration is required.
FM headsets for sound amplification are available for all talks.
