P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center, a MoMA affiliate, is one of the oldest and largest nonprofit art centers in the United States committed to promoting and exhibiting contemporary art. Located in a former public school building in Long Island City, Queens, P.S.1’s programs preserve the spirit of the original school by providing a venue for constant learning and experimentation. P.S.1 is particularly devoted to presenting the work of emerging artists and to promoting dynamic interactions between these artists and the general public.
P.S.1 relies primarily on private donations to fund exhibitions and operations. Donations to P.S.1 can be directed to the Annual Fund, the Annual Exhibition Fund, or to a specific exhibition. All contributions are 100% tax deductible. Depending on the level of support, donors will receive recognition on donor boards, wall text, press releases, and the P.S.1 Web site. They will also receive invitations to exhibition openings. Donors at appropriate levels will be invited on VIP tours with artists and curators.
P.S.1 also accepts contributions in the form of planned gifts.
