Corporate Entertaining Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to be a Corporate Member to host an event at MoMA?
Yes. The Museum is pleased to extend entertaining privileges only to corporations that maintain an annual Corporate Membership at the Partner level ($40,000) and above, or that support the Museum through the Sponsorship of Exhibitions or programs.

Does MoMA have meeting space available?
MoMA can accomodate meetings in the Titus 1 and Titus 2 theaters, which have excellent film and video projection capabilities and are ideal for shareholders meetings or other business presentations. Theaters are available on Tuesdays only, and all programming is subject to curatorial approval. The Museum does not have space available for smaller groups or daytime meetings.

May I host a press conference, product launch, or fundraising event at MoMA?
The Museum does not permit the use of its facilities by third parties for press conferences or award ceremonies. Likewise, fundraising, benefits, fashion shows, or political, merchandising, or promotional events are not permitted.

Can I get married or host other private parties at MoMA?
The Museum is available only for Corporate Entertaining. Personal events such as weddings, graduations, or birthdays are not permitted.

What time can my event begin?
Events may begin after 6:30 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, and after 6:00 p.m. on Tuesdays. The Museum does not host corporate events on Fridays. 

What caterers can work at MoMA?
The Museum requires that a caterer be selected from its list of approved caterers, and maintains final approval of all vendors and proposals.

How do I arrange for a group tour at MoMA?
The Museum of Modern Art welcomes groups, and several tour options are available through the Group Services office. For further information, please call (212) 708-9685 or e-mail groupservices@moma.org.

Can events be held in the Museum’s restaurant, The Modern?
Reservations for the Dining Room, the Bar Room, and the private dining room at The Modern can be made by calling (212) 333-1220 or visiting www.themodernnyc.com.
