PopRally presents a rare screening of The Last Days of Disco (1998), writer/director Whit Stillman's clever, comic paean to the nighttime party scene of early-1980s Manhattan. At the center of the film's roundelay of revelers are the icy Charlotte (Kate Beckinsale) and the demure Alice (Chloë Sevigny), publishing-house assistants by day who seek romance and entertainment at a Studio 54–like club by night. The Last Days of Disco is an affectionate yet unsentimental look at the end of an era, brimming with Stillman's trademark dry humor.

The screening is followed by a Q&A with Stillman, actor Chris Eigeman, and other special guests, moderated by Rajendra Roy, MoMA's Celeste Bartos Chief Curator of Film. Cocktails start at 7:00; the screening begins promptly at 8:00. A reception follows the screening.

Special thanks to Sud de France wines: Arrogant Frog by Paul Mas, Mont Tauch, and Skalli Family Wines.
