DIRT PALACE
friday, march 14, 2008
7:00–11:00 P.m.
P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center

The fantasy/fake/true/science-fiction/candy-coated/
stripped-bare/all-lies/documentary
history of the Dirt Palace.

Celebrate WACK! Art and the Feminist Revolution with PopRally and the all-female Providence-based art collective Dirt Palace. Song, dance, costumes, projections, and puppets all come together in this deceptively sweet yet completely unruly evening—a raucous performance piece that tells the twisted tale of Dirt Palace’s history. It's a story of intrigue and fancy born from the collective's unique mix of sugar and spice and everything not-so-nice.

Join us before the performance for a private viewing of WACK! Art and the Feminist Revolution. Afterwards, stick around for a party in the performance space, featuring DJs Mery-Def, Ivanna b, and Jazzy-Jexxx. Please be advised: The performance features strobe lights and a smoke machine.

Special thanks to Grolsch and Fred.
