| Margot at the Wedding Tuesday, November 13, 2007 8:00 p.m. MoMA Titus Theater 1 |
Join PopRally for a special preview screening of writer/director Noah Baumbach's highly anticipated new film Margot at the Wedding, starring Nicole Kidman, Jack Black, and Jennifer Jason Leigh. Afterwards, MoMA's Chief Curator of Film, Rajendra Roy, leads a discussion and audience Q & A with Noah Baumbach and Jennifer Jason Leigh. Margot Zeller (Academy Award winner Nicole Kidman), a savagely razor-tongued short-story writer, sets off on a surprise journey with her son Claude (Zane Pais), to the wedding of her estranged and free-spirited sister Pauline (Golden Globe nominee Jennifer Jason Leigh) to an unemployed artist Malcolm (Jack Black). The film is a daringly funny and bracingly honest exploration of the tender, absurd, and sometimes excruciating relationship between siblings and the fallout for those in their wake: children, husbands, lovers. After party to follow at 205 Club (205 Chrystie at Stanton). PopRally would like to thank Paramount Vantage for their support for this event. Photo courtesy of Paramount Vantage.
