K–12 Teacher Workshops
MoMA Teacher Workshop: Art and Inquiry
Learn how to integrate MoMA’s collection and museum-based teaching methods into your classroom. Teachers in all subject areas are encouraged to attend this interactive workshop, featuring inquiry-based gallery experiences, reflection and discussion of resources, and integration into classroom curriculum. At the conclusion of the workshop teachers are invited to tour MoMA’s galleries on their own.
This program is available to active K–12 classroom teachers only. The Museum reserves the right to cancel a program at any time due to low enrollment. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Payment is required upon submission of this form. Note that this form is a request only and does not guarantee registration.

Half-Day Professional Development Workshops
Let MoMA teach you how to incorporate modern and contemporary art in your classroom. Our customized workshops introduce you to our educational approach, address themes and questions that arise in response to modern and contemporary art, and help you to create interdisciplinary links to your curriculum. We tailor each session to meet your goals and objectives as they relate to teaching with art.
Active K-12 teachers and/or administrators. A minimum of 10 teachers is required. This is not a drop in program for individual teachers.
$20 per person

Summer Institute for Teachers
Learn from the staff and collections of MoMA, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, and the Whitney Museum of American Art. Connecting Collections, a collaborative teacher institute, will support you in developing techniques for integrating the study of visual images into your classrooms. You will spend a day at each institution and return to your school with the ability to create meaningful object-based learning activities that can be integrated into a wide variety of curricula and meet standards for student achievement.
