Art as a Resource for English Language Arts
Art can be a powerful catalyst for building skills and understanding across a wide range of subjects. During this drop-in workshop designed for high school teachers of English language arts, we will explore ways to incorporate the universal language of art elements and images into classroom teaching, with an emphasis on encouraging critical and conceptual thinking and creative problem-solving skills.
MoMA educators will demonstrate interactive strategies for exploring objects and images with students that enhance literacy and language development, as well as highlight strategies for interpreting and communication of ideas
