| The collection is arranged according to the catalogue number (written in red). In a few cases additional or alternate photographs and negatives exist. An inventory accompanies the photographs. Extensive notes frequently are written on the verso of the photographs. | ||
The collection consists of photographs collected by Germain Seligman in preparation for his 1969 catalogue raisonné on Roger de la Fresnaye (Paris: La Bibliotheque des Arts and Neuchatel: Editions Ides et Calendes). Most of the images are those which were eventually published in that volume.
The records are open for research and contain no restricted materials.
The Roger de la Fresnaye Research Photograph Collection is the physical property of The Museum of Modern Art. Literary rights, including copyright belong to the authors or their legal heirs and assigns. Rights to work produced during the normal course of Museum business resides with The Museum of Modern Art. For further information, and to obtain permission to publish or reproduce, contact the Museum Archivist.
This collection was donated to The Museum of Modern Art Archives in 1974 by Mr. and Mrs. Germain Seligman.
