MoMA's International Program and Department of Education collaborate to host annual museum professional workshops/institutes, which are currently offered by invitation. The workshops/institutes invite midcareer museum professionals from specific countries/regions across the globe to meet at MoMA and foster a dialogue and exchange of ideas on best international practices in art museums. Over the course of one week, participants engage in debates and discussions focused on issues related to contemporary museological practice, meet with colleagues at MoMA and other New York arts organizations, and attend a series of programs and workshops.
Examples of past workshops include: Latin America, Africa, Eastern and Central Europe, and Asia.
