One of the most intense art lessons that I took was in my junior year of high school. I remember I used to sit in a class room next to my best friend and her friends and joke around for half the class. I remember that we went from doing gargoyles to expanding a picture to three times its size. One of my friends from another class used to skip a free period to finish her art work. I used to joke around about her monster (art project) having bird like features; consequently, my gargoyle came up to have a peak while hers had the wolf attitude. Once I finished it I took my Cyclops bird "cheer leader" (had the college flag left hand and pomp -pomp look right hand) I showed it to my best friend and was disgusted this was good because that was the whole purpose of the project. I also enlarged a Georgia O’Keeffe flower and I liked the results because I thought that that effect could be done in the computer. What inspired me to learn about art? Well this, the different types you Can produce art by simple methods. Either by using charcoal or stencils it is interesting to learn about it.
Students reflect on what they’ve learned, review films, critique
architecture, and interview artists.
