In society an artist is any person who enjoys drawing,
painting, sculpting or even dancing and singing because
they are all forms of art. They do it because they enjoy
it and Iʼm no different since Iʼm always drawing for
no reason other than wanting to. Most of the time I
even put my feelings at that moment into the piece I'm
working on- whether I do it on purpose or by accident,
mty feelings are always there to give my work a deeper
meaning.
During this summer program at MoMA, I enjoyed all the
artwork we did and saw and the people we met were amazing,
especially Ji Lee with the bubble project and Ricky
Sears with place and consumerism. The things we learned
about their projects were amazing and what our teachers
taught us like Xerox transferring and stenciling were
so much fun! Even though I hate collages more than any
other kind of artwork, I have to admit that it was okay
this time since there were no rules. Joining the Art
Program here at MoMA was an exciting new experience.
It made my summer a blast and I would definitely like
to come back next summer!
Students reflect on what they’ve learned, review films, critique
architecture, and interview artists.
